Names, List of JPC committee members who will investigate 2G scam

The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance Government, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee moved the motion in the Lok Sabha for setting up of the JPC to look into the telecom policy pursued from 1998 to 2009 and to investigate 2G spectrum scam.


The report will be submitted at the end of Monsoon Session in September.
The Committee will make recommendations to ensure formulation of appropriate procedures for implementation of laid down policy in the allocation and pricing of telecom licences.

The JPC will consist of 30 members out of which 15 will be from the UPA and 15 from the Opposition.
The Committee will have 20 members from the Lok Sabha and 10 Rajya Sabha MPs.

Among the Lok Sabha MPs who will be part of the committee, eight are from Congress and four from BJP.

Following is the list or Names of JPC Committee members who will investigate 2G scam.

13.Yashwant Sinha,
14.Harin Pathak,
15.Gopinath Munde from BJP.
16.Sharad Yadav (JD-U),
17.Dara Singh Chauhan (BSP),
18.Akhilesh Yadav (SP),
19.Gurudas Dasgupta (CPI),
20.Arjun Charan Sethi (BJD)
21.M Thambi Durai (AIADMK)

Speaker Meira Kumar will nominate one among the members as chairman of the JPC.
