UK Judge Gives No Punishment to Adil Rashid for Raping 13 Year old girl Defence Studies in Islamic School

UK Judge Gives No Punishment to Adil Rashid for Raping 13 Year old girl Defence Studies in Islamic School

Adil Rashid raped a 13 year old girl he groomed on Facebook.
Adil Rashid is 18-year-old boy.
Adil is from Birmingham UK.

He admitted in courtroom that he had sex with the girl saying he had been tempted by the girl after they met online.

They initially exchanged messages on Facebook before sending texts and chatting on the phone over a two-month period.

They then met up in Nottingham, where Rashid had booked a room at a Premier Inn.

The girl told Police that they stayed at the hotel for 2 hour and had sex after Rashid went to the bathroom and emerged wearing a condom.

Adil told police he knew the girl was 13 but said he was initially reluctant to have sex before relenting after being seduced.

He was arrested the following week after the girl confessed what had happened to a school friend, who informed one of her teachers.

In Court room judge was told Adil went to an Islamic faith school where he was taught that women are worthless.
Rashid claimed he had been taught in his school that ‘women are no more worthy than a lollipop that has been dropped on the ground’.

Because of the legal reason, Media has not mentioned the name of  Islamic School where Mr. Adil got Islamic Education.

In courtroom defense told to that, Adil was not aware that it was illegal for him to have sex with the girl because his education left him ignorant of British Law.

After this Judge Michael Stokes handed Rashid a suspended sentence, saying: ‘Although chronologically 18, it is quite clear from the reports that you are very naive and immature when it comes to sexual matters.’

Further judge said that sending Adil to jail might cause him more damage than good.

Judge Stokes sentenced Rashid to nine months youth custody, suspended for two years, along with a two-year probation supervision order.

Law is a law must be followed, tomorrow terrorist will say that he did not know the bomb will kill so many people

Will you forgive him?

Tomorrow someone will rape your daughter will you forgive him.

The person who knows how to book a room in hotel, the person who knows to use Facebook, the person who knows sweet-talking with young girls

How one can believe that He was ignorant of law.

If anyone has studied the law, he can easily find here  mens rea a principal of criminal law.

I do not know why the judge did not punish him.

Do you think Bribe was paid so there was no punishment?

Think why judge did not send or give him 4 to 8 year of punishment, which is normal punishment in UK .

Understanding Mens rea –

A fundamental principle of Criminal Law is that a crime consists of both a mental and a physical element. Mens rea, a person's awareness of the fact that his or her conduct is criminal, is the mental element, and actus reus, the act itself, is the physical element.

The concept of mens rea developed in England during the latter part of the common-law era (about the year 1600) when judges began to hold that an act alone could not create criminal liability unless it was accompanied by a guilty state of mind. The degree of mens rea required for a particular common-law crime varied. Murder, for example, required a malicious state of mind, whereas Larceny required a felonious state of mind.

In that way any criminal can render some excuses after committing any sort of serious offences. He deserves punishment.
